about

Composer/sax player Stephanie Francke follows up a strong debut release with her second album, Ripples. She is on a musical path that is very much her own, telling her tales from New York to Zeeland , the Dutch peninsula where she was born. Francke also finds inspiration in the works of the Japanese author Haruki Murakami.

After winning the Erasmus Jazz Award in 2012, reaching to the finals of the European Jazz Competition in 2013 and playing the North Sea Jazz festival that same year, Stephanie Francke and her band on Ripples present music that is soulful and original with an acute sensibility for tradition; impassioned, mature, beautiful and lest we forget, it swings.
